#BREAKING Bitcoin’s Net Realized P/L Hits Zero — Could a June 2022-Style Drop Be Next?$BTC
Bitcoin is approaching a key on-chain turning point as its Net Realized Profit and Loss (P/L) metric returns to near zero, a level last seen during one of the market’s sharpest declines. CryptoQuant analyst Adler AM reports that Bitcoin’s Net Realized P/L has fallen about 97% from its recent highs, echoing conditions in June 2022 when BTC fell from around $30,000 to nearly $16,000.
Net Realized P/L measures the balance of profits and losses on Bitcoin transactions. Positive values indicate profit-taking, while negative values show loss-driven selling. Readings near zero suggest trades are happening close to buyers’ cost, signaling a temporary pause in profit-driven selling—but not strong buying support.
In late 2024 and early 2025, Net Realized P/L peaked above $1.5 billion, reflecting heavy profit-taking. By January 26, 2026, it had collapsed to roughly $60 million, flattening near zero. Historically, similar zero-level readings have not marked market bottoms; they often precede further declines, as seen in 2022 when the metric dropped to -$350 million and Bitcoin lost another 50%.
Despite this, large holders remain in profit. Wallets holding 100–1,000 btc have an average acquisition price near $69,900, giving a 25% buffer, while bigger whales holding 10–100 BTC or more than 10,000 BTC have entry prices around $48,000–$51,000, maintaining 70–80% unrealized gains. This explains why panic selling has been limited, even with the recent pullback.
Currently, Bitcoin’s market balance relies more on the absence of sellers than strong buying, creating a fragile situation that could favor another drop if selling resumes. #cryptocrash #BTC #Binance #bitcoin
