Vitalik Buterin shared his thoughts on creator coins, and the message is pretty clear.
Most creator coin experiments so far focused too much on trading and price, and not enough on real value for communities. Turning attention into a token often leads to speculation instead of better social tools or stronger creator relationships.
His idea is that creator coins should be designed to actually help people coordinate, support creators, and build real communities. Not just pump and dump tokens tied to popularity.
In simple terms
A token is not the product.
The community and the use case are the product.
If creator coins are built to serve people first and price second, they can make sense.
If they are built only for hype, they fail their purpose.
