#Binance Launches Gold and Silver Futures Settled in $USDT
Binance expanded its derivatives platform Thursday by introducing perpetual futures contracts for gold and silver, giving #crypto traders access to traditional safe-haven assets through $USDT settlement.
The exchange now offers XAUUSDT and XAGUSDT contracts that track precious metals prices continuously without expiration dates. Traders gain price exposure to gold and silver movements rather than owning physical metals.
Next Exchange Limited operates the contracts under Financial Services Regulatory Authority oversight in Abu Dhabi Global Market. Jeff Li, Binance vice president of product, described the launch as bridging conventional finance with crypto infrastructure through regulated channels.
Binance joins other platforms already offering metals-linked derivatives. Coinbase, MEXC, BTCC, BingX and Bybit list similar products, with Bybit providing gold contracts exclusively.
Precious metals delivered substantial returns throughout 2025 while #crypto assets struggled. Gold climbed 67% and silver jumped 152% during the year, significantly outpacing $BTC, which dropped roughly 5%.
Market uncertainty and dollar weakness pushed gold past $4,549 per ounce on Dec. 26. Silver reached $83 per ounce two days later. Both metals set new all-time highs as investors sought protection from geopolitical tensions.
