The US government’s annual budget was supposed to be passed by 30 September, but Congress failed to agree, so they approved a temporary funding bill (called a Continuing Resolution) to keep the government running. That temporary funding expires on 31 January 2026. If lawmakers don’t pass a new budget or extend the CR by then, parts of the US government will shut down. This is why shutdown headlines are coming now — it’s not a new budget, just the old temporary money running out.

If shutdown continue, Gold will take most advantage of this fundamentals.

Israel attack iran.
Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iran mark a serious escalation in their longstanding conflict. Following a major missile attack by Iran on October 1, which targeted Israeli military sites, Israel retaliated early on October 26 with airstrikes on about 20 military locations around Tehran and Karaj. The Israeli Defense Forces cited the operation as a response to ongoing Iranian aggression.

The United States, informed beforehand, expressed support for Israel’s right to self-defense but warned against potential escalation. Iran, with 1,000 missiles ready to launch, has signaled readiness to retaliate if needed, raising concerns of further regional destabilization.
