$POL is currently deflationary, but there’s another interesting thing happening.
The burn rate implied by January is ~300 million tokens per year.
Current 2% inflation adds ~200 million tokens per year (until Oct 2033).
But these are “different tokens” - they go to stakers and to the Polygon Foundation treasury, which is a completely different type of holders.
This is a positive flow from one state to another: from the open market into the hands of people who actively support the ecosystem.
