I’ve been following the Velodrome Finance project since its early in 2022. Right after launch, the project was hacked by a member named Gabagool, who stole $350k ( you can Google it ). The team handled everything quickly and kept building. Velodrome Finance has already done a 10x twice (once with V1 version, and more recently with V2 version when news broke about being listed on Binance — you can clearly see this on the Dexscreener chart).

Velodrome Finance is built on the ve(3,3) DEX model, with no VCs backing it except Optimism (Op) team. Later, the Velodrome team launched another ve(3,3) DEX called Aerodrome on Base, which became very successful because Coinbase Ventures backed

Recently, Kraken launched the Ink chain (part of the Optimism Superchain), and then Upbit listed OP and soon after launched its own chain (using Optimism L2 tech).

The question is: Velodrome Finance is currently the largest DEX of the Optimism Superchain, where projects like Soneium (Sony), Kraken’s Ink, Uniswap’s Unichain, Mode, Zora, World Chain by WLD, and even Upbit (using OP as L2 and listing OP) are all building. So why is Velodrome’s price still undervalued? And likewise, why is OP’s price still undervalued ?

What will happen when Optimism’s Superchain really takes off, with Velodrome as its biggest DEX? Why did Binance list Velodrome instead of Aerodrome?
