В Абу-Даби в среду и четверг состоялся второй раунд переговоров по Украине с участием делегаций России, США и Украины. Первый раунд прошел там же 23-24 января. Переговоры проходили в закрытом формате, без прессы. Пресс-секретарь президента Дмитрий Песковотметил, что работа, которая проходила в рамках консультаций в ОАЭ по урегулированию конфликта на Украине, продолжится.
Российский президент Владимир Путинеще задолго до переговоров в Абу-Даби, в 2024 году заявлял, что жители ДНР, ЛНР, Херсонской и Запорожской областейвошли в состав России, и этот вопрос "навсегда закрыт и больше не обсуждается". В свою очередь, пресс-секретарь главы государства Дмитрий Песков в конце января 2025 года заявлял, что ВСУ должны покинуть территорию Донбасса, это является важным условием Москвы.

XRP's weekly RSI just hit the lowest level since June 2022, the month of the previous bear market bottom. This means that we are looking at market conditions similar to the end of the last bear market.

Now, the reading is the lowest since then but not the lowest nor the same, it is a bit higher.

This development gives me a bullish bias but I am not stupid. This bullishness is based only on the short-term.

As you can see, XRPUSDT is set to close five consecutive weeks red with the current week having a long lower shadow. This call for some relief.

After this relief then the market moves lower again.

Whenever the market produces a bearish cycle, it never enters the next cycle in flash, suddenly. Instead, the market goes sideways for several months at bottom prices before the start of the next trend.

Let's say XRP goes bullish for several weeks and that's it. The relief. Then it comes crashing back down. The next crash produces really extreme oversold conditions and then the market settles at bottom prices; still, no strong bullish breakout.

At the bottom we get sideways with some fluctuations. After a long while, long enough for people to get bored and many weak hands to fold, then a strong bullish breakout shows up. This move signals the start of the next market phase which tends to last a long time.

Bitcoin's halving and 4 years cycle explained

Many people have been saying that Bitcoin's four years cycle is changing or that it will change in the future—simply impossible.

The four years cycle cannot change because it has been programmed into the code. Every four years we get "the halving." And this is what causes Bitcoin's classic bullish and bearish cycles.

Before the halving, Bitcoin starts to grow really strong in anticipation of the event. This puts pressure on the entire Cryptocurrency market to grow.

Once the event happens, Bitcoin continues growing until all momentum is exhausted. The year after the halving all momentum is gone and that's the end.

The market starts to price-in the halving one year in advance. Grows before and during the halving. The momentum lasts until one year after and then we get the bear market.

That's why we get only 1 year of bearish action vs 3 years of bullish action.

Bitcoin has now crashed -53% in just 120 days without any major negative news or event and this is not normal.
Macro pressure plays a role, but it’s not the main reason Bitcoin keeps dumping. The real driver is something much bigger that most people aren’t talking about yet.
Bitcoin’s original valuation model was built on the idea that supply is fixed at 21 million coins and that price moves based on real buying and selling of those coins. In the early cycles, this was mostly true. But today, that structure has changed.
A large share of Bitcoin trading activity now happens through synthetic markets rather than spot markets.
This includes:
• Futures contracts
• Perpetual swaps
• Options markets
• ETFs
• Prime broker lending
• Wrapped BTC
• Structured products
All of these allow exposure to Bitcoin’s price without requiring actual Bitcoin to move on chain. This changes how price is discovered because now selling pressure can come from derivative positioning rather than real holders selling coins.
For example:
If institutions open large short positions in futures markets, price can fall even if no spot Bitcoin is sold.
If leveraged long traders get liquidated, forced selling happens through derivatives, accelerating downside moves. This creates cascade effects where liquidations drive price, not spot supply.
That is why recent sell offs look very structured. You see long liquidation waves, funding flips negative, open interest collapses, all signs that derivatives positioning is driving the move.
So while Bitcoin’s hard cap has not changed, the effective tradable supply influencing price has expanded through synthetic exposure.
Price today reacts to leverage, hedging flows, and positioning, not just spot demand.
Adding to this, there are other factors too driving the current dump.
GLOBAL ASSET SELL-OFF
Right now, selling is not isolated to crypto. Stocks are declining. Gold and silver have seen volatility. Risk assets across markets are correcting.
When global markets move into risk-off mode, capital exits high-risk assets first and crypto sits at the far end of the risk curve. So Bitcoin reacts more aggressively to global sell offs.
MACRO UNCERTAINTY & GEOPOLITICAL RISK
Tensions around global conflicts, especially U.S.–Iran developments, are creating uncertainty.
Whenever geopolitical risk rises, supply chain risks increase, and markets shift toward defensive positioning. That environment is not supportive for risk assets.
FED LIQUIDITY EXPECTATIONS
Markets had been pricing a more dovish liquidity backdrop. But expectations around future policy leadership and liquidity stance have shifted.
If investors believe future Fed policy will be tighter on liquidity even if rates eventually fall, risk assets reprice lower.
ECONOMIC DATA WEAKNESS
Recent economic indicators job market trends, housing demand, credit stress are pointing toward slowing growth conditions. When recession fears rise, markets derisk.
