بخاری شریف کی ایک حدیث میں ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں مسجد میں اعتکاف فرما تھے۔ آپ کی زوجہ محترمہ حضرت صفیہ بنت حیی رضی اللہ عنہا آپ سے ملاقات کے لیے آئیں۔ کچھ دیر گفتگو کے بعد جب وہ واپس جانے لگیں تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم خود انہیں مسجد کے دروازے تک چھوڑنے کے لیے ساتھ گئے۔
اتنے میں دو انصاری صحابہ وہاں سے گزرے اور انہوں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو سلام عرض کیا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: "خبردار! یہ صفیہ ہیں۔" (یعنی یہ میری زوجہ ہیں، تمہیں کسی قسم کا گمان نہ ہو کہ یہ کوئی اجنبی عورت ہے۔)
ان دونوں صحابہ نے عرض کیا: "سبحان اللہ! یا رسول اللہ!" (یعنی ہم آپ کے بارے میں ایسی بدگمانی کیسے کر سکتے ہیں!) یہ بات ان کے دل پر گراں گزری۔ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:
"شیطان انسان کے جسم میں خون کی طرح دوڑتا ہے، مجھے اندیشہ ہوا کہ کہیں وہ تمہارے دلوں میں بدگمانی نہ ڈال دے۔"
(بخاری: 1893، مسلم: 4041)
لہٰذا یاد رکھو! جس طرح کسی کے بارے میں بدگمانی کرنا گناہ ہے، اسی طرح بدگمانی کا موقع دینا بھی درست نہیں۔ لیکن افسوس! آج کے دور میں لوگ صرف بدگمانی کرنے کو غلط سمجھتے ہیں، جب کہ بدگمانی کا موقع دینا درحقیقت اس سے بھی زیادہ خطرناک بات ہے۔
