Data quality is not a given — it must be secured. Pyth introduces Oracle Integrity Staking (OIS), where publishers and delegators stake $PYTH as collateral for the accuracy of their data. If prices are manipulated or faulty, penalties are enforced through slashing. This creates strong economic incentives for publishers to provide trustworthy, high-fidelity market data. With OIS, accuracy becomes a self-reinforcing loop: publishers protect their reputation, stakers protect their assets, and the entire network strengthens.
