Hey, so what’s happening right now?
Pretty much the whole crypto market is getting smashed today & has been bleeding for days.

$BTC dropped ~7.5% → $70,700
$XRP got hit even harder, down ~11% → $1.43
$SOL down ~7.5% → ~$90
ETH down ~8.4% → ~$2,090

Basically everything big is red & it hurts to look at. Why is everything crashing?

It’s a mix of bad things happening at the same time:

1. Lots of people got liquidated
A ton of traders were using high leverage (borrowed money). When price broke important levels, their positions got automatically closed → forced selling → price falls even more → more people get liquidated. It’s like a domino effect.

2. Big money is pulling out
The Bitcoin ETFs that Wall Street was pouring money into earlier this year? They’re now seeing huge outflows. Institutions are taking their money out fast.

3. The big picture economy feels scary
-worried the US Federal Reserve will keep interest rates high for longer
-The dollar is getting stronger → bad for risky stuff like crypto
-Stock market (especially tech stocks) is also down
-Even gold is going up like crazy → people are running to “safe” things, not Bitcoin

4. BTC isn’t acting like “digital gold” right now
A lot of people hoped Bitcoin would protect them when things get shaky (like gold does). But lately gold & silver are mooning while Bitcoin is tanking — that’s making people lose faith in the story.

5. Fear is maxed out
The Fear & Greed Index is in “Extreme Fear” territory. That usually means either:
-we’re very close to a bottom (people give up → selling slows down)
-or there’s still more pain coming (some people think Bitcoin could drop to $60k or lower)

It’s a nasty combo of panic selling, big players leaving, bad macro news, and people losing confidence. Right now it feels like everyone is running for the exit at the same time. If you’re just holding long-term, these kinds of ugly dips have happened many times before and usually end up being good buying opportunities later
