According to NS3.AI, despite the importance of the update, only 18% of the stake upgraded promptly, underscoring the difficulties in achieving swift software adoption among decentralized validators. In response, the Solana Foundation has linked stake delegation incentives to software compliance, aiming to enhance security through economic penalties and promote client diversity to reduce risks.
