Everyone says users don’t care about chains yet most systems are designed to constantly remind them they’re on one. Wallet prompts, variable fees, confirmation delays, educational friction.
That contradiction matters.
In consumer environments, every reminder is a leak. Attention drains. Flow breaks. Trust thins. People don’t exit angrily they just stop returning.
The real question isn’t whether users can understand blockchain.
It’s whether the system knows when understanding is unnecessary.
Infrastructure that can’t stay out of the way rarely survives contact with real users.
