Trump threatens Canada with 100% tariff and calls PM of Canada as Governor. Even issues warning that China will eat Canada alive. Just few days ago when TikTok deal was finalized, he thanked Chinese President. One day he thanks as friend and other day he calls them devil.
“If Governor Carney thinks he is going to make Canada a “Drop Off Port” for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken. China will eat Canada alive, completely devour it, including the destruction of their businesses, social fabric, and general way of life. If Canada makes a deal with China, it will immediately be hit with a 100% Tariff against all Canadian goods and products coming into the U.S.A.”
Trump had further commented while in Davos, this week that “Canada lives because of the United States.” Mr. Carney shot back that his nation can be an example that the world does not have to bend toward autocratic tendencies.
Mr. Trump later revoked his invitation to Mr. Carney to join the president's “Board of Peace” that he is forming to try to resolve global conflicts.
