I’ve seen this pattern too many times to pretend it’s new.
Walrus promises decentralized, private storage, but underneath the branding is the same old gamble: expensive infrastructure balanced on a volatile token. Storage needs stability, boring cash flow, and operators who can pay bills when markets turn ugly. WAL offers belief instead. When belief fades—and it always does—the economics are exposed. Then you find out whether this is infrastructure or just another token wearing a hard hat.
