Representatives from the United States, Ukraine, and Russia concluded their second round of peace talks in the United Arab Emirates, resulting in a significant prisoner exchange agreement on Thursday, involving the release of 314 individuals. According to Ming Pao, this exchange marks the largest of its kind in nearly five months. However, the talks were overshadowed by an attack on Vladimir Alekseyev, the First Deputy Director of Russia's General Staff Intelligence Directorate (GRU), who was seriously injured in Moscow. Alekseyev's direct superior, the GRU Director, led the Russian delegation in the peace talks. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the Ukrainian government of orchestrating the attack.
