The Indian stock market saw a strong drop, with the NIFTY50 falling over 2%. Defense stocks were hit the hardest, sliding more than 8%. Public banking stocks fell by 6%, while financial services and auto stocks dropped around 2.5%. Oil and gas stocks also declined by about 2.1%.
