Central banks are buying unprecedented amounts of gold đŠđ„
âą Central banks around the world purchased the equivalent of +830 tons of gold on an annualized basis in 2025. đ
âą During the first half of 2025 alone, 23 countries increased their gold reserves. đ
âą This year, central banks are on track to purchase double the annual average recorded during 2011â2021 for the fourth consecutive year.
âą This comes after central banks bought +1,080 tons in 2022, and +1,051 tons in 2023, and +1,089 tons in 2024. đ
âą The year 2025 puts central banks on track to achieve the sixteenth consecutive year of net purchases making it the longest recorded streak to date.
âą Before 2010, central banks were net sellers of gold for 21 consecutive years.
