š«š„ Why I Ditched Stop-Losses ā and What I Do Instead š„š«
I know this might sound wild to most traders,
But Iāve officially stopped using stop-loss orders in my Binance strategy. šš
Hereās why:
š The Pattern Was Always the Same:
Iād enter a solid setupā¦
Then a quick wick hits my SL ā Iām out with a loss.
Minutes later? Price rockets in my original direction.
Sound familiar? š¤
š” The Realization:
āļø Market makers love your stop-losses.
They know where retail traders set them ā and they hunt that liquidity.
š Crypto is volatile by nature.
A 3ā5% swing isnāt a reversal ā itās just Tuesday.
Tight SLs donāt stand a chance.
š§ Emotions were wrecking me.
Every SL hit triggered fear and frustration.
Now, I trade from logic ā not panic.
š¤ So What Do I Do Instead?
Hereās the method I use now:
ā I focus on higher timeframes (1D / 4H) to stay aligned with the real trend.
ā I use alerts, not stop orders ā no more getting wicked out.
ā I manage risk through position sizing, not tight exits.
ā I set mental stop-losses ā and exit manually when my bias breaks.
ā I only trade with capital Iām prepared to risk ā peace of mind is key.
š ļø Final Thoughts:
Iām not saying stop-losses are bad.
They have their place ā especially for newer traders.
But in this volatile market, blindly relying on SLs cost me more than they saved.
If youāre constantly getting stopped outā¦
Maybe itās not your setup.
Maybe itās your strategy.
Trade with intention. Not fear.
You donāt have to play by the same old rules. šÆ
