Prosecutors in South Korea may have lost seized Bitcoin worth US$47 million through a phishing attack and are investigating and tracking the theft.
According to Chosun Daily, the bitcoins were stolen after a password was leaked externally, and an official from the prosecutor's office stated that a phishing attack was to blame after an agency worker accessed a fraudulent website.
Phishing is a common attack in the world of cryptocurrencies, where attackers seek to gain access to a wallet by impersonating legitimate websites or emails to trick users into sharing their private keys.

- From what I have seen on social media in the last 24 hours, the pessimism towards Bitcoin is total, which is good for us.
- The most extraordinary thing I am seeing is a real-time hard fork from the community. On one side are those of us who defend the thesis of Bitcoin as a safe haven asset, a civilizational paradigm shift, and a trade against fiat devaluation, versus those who sold their narrative to fiat in order to survive.
- When I say they sold their narrative, it has nothing to do with the price of BTC. I have always said anyone can have a short-term bearish thesis and it's valid for me; my problem is the underlying message, about how "nothing changes" the system always wins and the best you can do is surrender.
- Regarding macro data, I still uphold my thesis for being logical and based on analysis, not on my personal opinion or worldview.
- My method remains unchanged: red candles are bought, green ones are for tourists.
- Gold and silver have followed their trend since 1971 with the creation of the debt system.
- Gold and silver at these price levels are not investments, they are speculation.
- There are those who claim that the rise of gold and silver is because everything is going to hell; I respectfully disagree on the monetary reason. Gold and silver will not be used as money, that experiment already failed in the 20th century. For me, the reason that gold and silver are rising is that we are in a regressive and involutive period of humanity.
- Bitcoin represents the opposite. It is the advance to a new system that, at the protocol level, brings true sovereignty and property rights to its users.
- That we continue to play with BTC is proof of the cognitive involution of society.
- My commitment is to keep moving forward until the last consequences.

The economist and president of Datanálisis, Luis Vicente León, noted that there is currently a "new reality" in the Venezuelan currency market, given that today there is a greater direct supply of formal currencies that has significantly reduced currency pressure and that, as long as the flow from the oil system continues, "it has the capacity to keep reducing (and probably eliminating) the currency gap and many of its serious distortions."
