Rupiah Weakens, Finance Minister Asserts Indonesia Far from Crisis Risk

Indonesia's Minister of Finance, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, emphasized that the weakening of the rupiah approaching the level of Rp17.000 per US dollar does not indicate a threat of economic crisis. According to him, Indonesia's fundamental conditions remain solid and maintained.

Purbaya stated that national economic growth remains above 5%, inflation is controlled at around 3%, and the current account deficit remains within safe limits. He also stressed that fiscal and monetary policy coordination is running synchronously, with Bank Indonesia continuously maintaining exchange rate stability.

This confidence is reinforced by optimism regarding the influx of investment and the potential strengthening of financial markets in the future. Follow macroeconomic and market updates by following the account Become a Trader. #economy #rupiah #macro #indonesia #becomeatrader
