Plasma is a project that I find quite interesting because it focuses on solving the scalability problem for blockchain. @plasma aims to create a fast transaction infrastructure with low fees while maintaining security and decentralization. The Token $XPL is not only used for paying fees but also for staking and encouraging users to participate in protecting the network.
