It is one of the most frequently asked questions in the community: "Why can't I move my money?". Seeing the balance in your account but not being able to use it can be frustrating, but 99% of the time it is a protective measure or a setting that you activated yourself.

Here I explain how to release your assets according to each case:

1. The "Filter" of Open Orders 📉

If you try to sell or withdraw and the system says you have no balance, check your Open Orders. If you have a "Limit" sell order placed days ago that has not been executed, your cryptos are reserved there.

Solution: Go to Trading -> Open Orders and cancel the operation. Done! Funds released instantly.

2. Staking and Earn products 💰

Did you put your coins to work in Locked Staking? Remember that you agreed to leave them there for a certain time in exchange for interest.

Solution: You can request an 'Early Refund', but be careful: you will lose the generated interest and the funds will take 48 to 72 hours to return to your Spot wallet.

3. The 24-Hour Preventive Lock 🔒

For your security, Binance temporarily blocks withdrawals if you made sensitive changes such as:

Reset your password.

Change the Google Authenticator (2FA).

Change your phone number.

Solution: You just have to wait for the indicated time (usually 24 or 48 hours). It's the best defense against hacks.

4. Identity Verification (KYC) 🆔

If your account is old or your documents have expired, Binance may restrict movements until you update your information.

Solution: Go to your profile and make sure the 'Verified' check is green.
