Doodles and Froot Loops Collaboration: Bringing NFTs to Traditional Cereal Box
The Ethereum NFT collection #Doodles has collaborated with the famous cereal brand Froot Loops from Kellogg's to bring its signature pastel characters to the cereal box. This collaboration combines traditional consumer products with digital asset technology, creating a unique limited-edition product.
Only 500 custom edition boxes were released at a price of $50 USD each (excluding the cereal inside) and sold out in just a few hours. Each box comes with a collectible digital asset, minted as #NFT on Coinbase's Layer-2 Base network.
Scott "Burnt Toast" Martin, CEO and artist of Doodles, explained that this collaboration was successful due to the natural fit between the two brands, both representing a bright color palette, playful personalities, and a spirit of "not taking things too seriously." He compared this collaboration to the legacy of major artists who have designed for Froot Loops, emphasizing the goal of keeping the product collectible and displayable.
The collaboration with Froot Loops continues Doodles' series of activities aimed at bringing the brand into popular culture, previously including collaborations with McDonald's (on McCafe coffee cups) and Adidas, alongside Pharrell Williams' involvement as brand director.
Although the floor price of Doodles NFTs has dropped significantly (from $57,000 to around $3,500), Martin stated that these partnerships help Doodles continue to drive culture and build momentum in fun and accessible ways, while receiving positive feedback from the community. #anh_ba_cong
