Exposing the fake narrative that Vitalik is dumping Ethereum🚨
Viral posts say Vitalik Buterin sold 2,972 ETH ($6.7M) between Feb 2–5.
But onchain data is completely different.
Vitalik’s main wallets didn’t move
If Vitalik really sold almost 3,000 ETH, you would see huge outflows from his known addresses.
But balances stayed flat.

The viral reports claimed he sold in chunks like:

- 493 ETH
- 1,441 ETH
But there are no matching transactions going through major selling routes.
Nothing that looks like a $6.7M liquidation.
What actually happened: a small charity donation
One thing DID happen:
A confirmed ~$500,000 USDC donation to Kanro charity.
Recipient wallet:
Kanro1
0xf20784fb0047fe897919b1cd4264dad364c9d5a3
That wallet’s USDC balance went up by +$500K.
Movement ≠ dumping
Vitalik moves funds for:
- open-source security
- privacy tools
- Ethereum ecosystem grants
- charities
So no, Vitalik is not dumping Ethereum.
