USDC is a stablecoin designed to stay pegged 1:1 with the U.S. dollar, so its price today is expected to remain around $1.00 with extremely small fluctuations (around ±0.1% intraday), not trending up or down like typical crypto assets. This tight peg is maintained by backing each token with U.S. dollar-equivalent reserves and active arbitrage trading. Minor deviations can occur intraday but usually correct quickly.
