An Iranian delegation will meet with U.S. representatives this Friday, as confirmed by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in a message posted on Wednesday on social media platform X.
According to one of the officials, the talks stalled after a clear ultimatum from the U.S. delegation. "We told them: 'Either on these terms or nothing,' and they responded: 'Okay, then nothing,'" he recounted.
The cancellation highlights the deep differences between Washington and Tehran over how negotiations should proceed. The U.S. side made it clear that the talks would not move to Oman nor would the previously agreed format be altered.
