The developer rules for Twitter (X) have been officially updated, explicitly prohibiting any form of 'reward-based interaction.' This time, it's truly a death sentence for projects like Kaito!!!
Nikita Bier posted the new terms, which are very clear: developers can no longer offer any rewards (whether tokens, points, or levels) to users if the intent is to encourage them to post, retweet, or like on Twitter.
This move directly kills the core of SocialFi. Previously, people thought that 'hacking the system' by just clicking a few buttons was innovative. But to Musk, this is just mass-producing spam and damaging the platform ecosystem.
The end of the $KAITO era tells us: activity driven by money is nothing but paper in the face of platform rules. As soon as Twitter decides to clean up, this 'socializing just for rewards' model will collapse instantly. Web3 projects that rely on others' platforms, without their own territory, will forever remain meat on someone else's chopping block.
