Steak 'n Shake has announced that it will start rewarding its employees with Bitcoin from 2026. According to Pennies, starting March 1, 2026, hourly employees working at the company's managed outlets will be rewarded with Bitcoin equivalent to $0.21 for every hour worked. This program is being introduced in collaboration with Fold and will include a two-year vesting period, meaning employees will only be able to claim this reward after the specified period is completed. The company states that the aim of this initiative is to motivate employees, improve customer service standards, and strengthen long-term value for employees.
