While addressing the World Economic Forum in the Swiss city of Davos, U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Europe, stating that he had only asked for a 'piece of ice' which was not provided, even though the U.S. could have obtained it through force but chose not to. Trump said that the U.S. is demanding this for the protection of the world. He warned NATO that now is the time to decide; if NATO agrees, the U.S. will be grateful, and if they refuse, it will be remembered. According to Trump, a strong and secure America is the guarantee of a strong NATO.
