Walrus (WAL) Makes Data Availability a Design Choice, Not a Risk

In many apps, data availability is a risk you accept and hope never shows up. Walrus treats it as a design choice. WAL supports a protocol on Sui that stores large data across a decentralized network so files don’t depend on one machine or one provider. If part of the network fails, the data can still be rebuilt. WAL keeps incentives aligned so people keep providing storage and maintaining the system. It’s not exciting in the short term, but it’s exactly the kind of thing that decides whether an app survives in the long run.
