🚨 Trump Backtracks on European Tariffs
US President Donald Trump has suspended the 10% tariffs on Europe that were brought to the agenda due to the Greenland tension.
📍 Yesterday:
Trump had announced customs duties on 8 European countries, to begin in February.
📍 Today:
Following a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Davos, the tariffs were shelved with an emphasis on a “framework agreement.”
Trade tensions have eased, and risk perception has improved in the short term. However, Greenland and Arctic strategy remain on the table.
👉 Do you think this is a temporary diplomatic move, or part of a larger bargain?
