French automaker Renault together with Defence company Turgis Gaillard will produce long-range drones for Ukraine. Renault confirmed its participation in the project, but did not disclose the cost of the contract, as well as the number and type of drones.
According to the Financial Times, the contract came after the French government asked automotive and Defence companies in June to work together on drone production lines. The drones will be manufactured at two Renault production sites.
Renault Director Fabrice Kamboliv noted that the company was approached because of its production and creative industrial experience.
