There has been no official announcement from Cristiano Ronaldo or his team regarding the launch of any memecoin bearing his name, such as "$CR7". These were baseless rumors with no legitimate backing.
Here’s how the scam worked:
1️⃣ A fake token named $CR7 launched on Solana, falsely promoted as Ronaldo’s "official" memecoin.
2️⃣ Influencers were paid (or complicit) to hype it across X (Twitter), labeling it as legit.
3️⃣ Once the hype peaked, two sniper wallets bought up massive supplies of the token at launch.
4️⃣ Those wallets dumped the tokens seconds later — making over 85 SOL in total profits.
5️⃣ The deployer then drained 97% of the liquidity, wiping out over $375,000+ from unsuspecting buyers.
